Bose-Einstein versus Maxwell-Boltzmann distributions

چکیده
In my paper ‘Are there physical systems obeying the MaxwellBoltzmann statistics?’[1] I have written down the well-known probabilities of the 4 possible results of one fair toss of 2 fair coins according to the Maxwell-Boltzmann (MB), Bose-Einstein (BE) and Fermi-Dirac (FD) statistics. The two results coin 1 = head, coin 2 = tail and coin 2 = head, coin 1 = tail are counting as different in MB and as one and the same in BE and in FD. Then, I have quoted Gibbs [2], that the interchange of two

Probability distributions for seek time evaluation
In this work, two known probability distributions based on the replacement model, namely, the Maxwell-Boltzmann and Bose-Einstein ones, are examined. Each of these distributions is assigned to a specific case of query processing, which is known in the literature as batching on primary key values or secondary key retrieval, respectively. These distributions are applied in evaluating the expected...
متن کاملEfficiency and its bounds for a quantum Einstein engine at maximum power.
We study a quantum thermal engine model for which the heat transfer law is determined by Einstein's theory of radiation. The working substance of the quantum engine is assumed to be a two-level quantum system of which the constituent particles obey Maxwell-Boltzmann (MB), Fermi-Dirac (FD), or Bose-Einstein (BE) distributions, respectively, at equilibrium. The thermal efficiency and its bounds a...
متن کاملCharacterizations of continuous probability distributions occurring in physics and allied sciences by truncated moment
A probability distribution can be characterized through various methods. Before a particular probability distribution model is applied to fit the real-world data, it is necessary to confirm whether the given continuous probability distribution satisfies the underlying requirements by its characterization. In this paper, characterizations of some continuous probability distributions occurring in...
متن کاملMultiphase Simulated Annealing Based on Boltzmann and Bose-Einstein Distribution Applied to Protein Folding Problem
A new hybrid Multiphase Simulated Annealing Algorithm using Boltzmann and Bose-Einstein distributions (MPSABBE) is proposed. MPSABBE was designed for solving the Protein Folding Problem (PFP) instances. This new approach has four phases: (i) Multiquenching Phase (MQP), (ii) Boltzmann Annealing Phase (BAP), (iii) Bose-Einstein Annealing Phase (BEAP), and (iv) Dynamical Equilibrium Phase (DEP). B...

We obtain first-order cover pebbling thresholds of the complete graph for Maxwell Boltzmann and Bose Einstein configurations.
